Home sweet home

It's been 2 days since I got home. And the feeling was amazing! :D Feels like there's no limit to what I could or could not do. Hehe. Okay, probably there are still some house rules to live by but you get what I mean. I have not done much these 2 days, except for cleaning up the house and cooking (which I so very much love but I rarely got to do it since school). So now is the time to do just that. And browsing through my recipe book, there are so many blank pages waiting to be filled by wonderful recipes! I do have some collection of my favourites saved in the computer but I have yet had them tested. So I think this may be the perfect time to do so. InsyaaAllah, hopefully by the end of my break, I'm a better cook who can cook different dishes of both Malay and Western and of course, pastries! :D

  • Wednesday (28.8.2013)
    • Laundry
    • Cooked lunch: Masak lemak kacang panjang + Ikan bawal goreng berlada
    • Unloaded things from Ma's car
    • Watched Masterchef US Season 4 ep 20 ( I have no idea why Krissi is still in though! It's been long overdue)
  • Thursday (29.9.2013)
    • More laundry
    • Cooked lunch: Kurma ayam + Kangkung bercili
    • Browsing through my recipe book
    • Called Mummy and told her about my plan of coming by tomorrow to pick up my stuff
    • Planned an outing with Fatima K + Kamilah
    • Planned the trip to Batu Pahat with Zawanah + Aisyah for Shabana's wedding
    • To find a wedding gift for Shabana
    • Discuss to-do list with hubby about trip to KK, Sabah next week
    • KIV Fatima's request for brownies tomorrow! :P

Teluk Cempedak + Oath Taking

  • Tuesday (27.8.2013)
    • Went to Teluk Cempedak with hubby for some breakfast and birdwatching!
      • Spotted a flock of thick billed green pigeons, a common sandpiper, white bellied sea eagles, and a possible little bronze cuckoo (again, hubby could not see it!) :P

Little bronze cuckoo

Later in the afternoon, we checked out from the hotel and went to my hostel to pick my things up before hubby went back to KL. Too bad he could not stay longer for the oath taking ceremony as his flight to KK was at 8pm that night :(

Most of my stuff are ready to go! :)

Although hubby went back, I was very glad to see my parents who came for the small ceremony. It was such a wonderful moment to see them witness my achievement. Their presence meant the world to me ;')

Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for this success :)) My personal thank you to my husband who has always been there for me, either in presence or in spirit, you're such a wonderful person to be with. To my parents, thank you for raising me and for making me who I am today. I am a better person with your love and unconditional faith in me. To my families and friends, my deepest gratitude for your prayers and friendship. Please continue to pray for me so I become better with each success and failure. Truly, I could not have done it without all of you!

Mille grazie.

Of Day Trip + AGD

  • Sunday (25.8.2013)
    • Had breakfast at the hotel with hubby in the morning
    • Went to IIUM One Student Centre to pay the graduation fees and check my clearance status
    • Picked up my birding gear- binocs + sport shoes!
    • Left for Tasik Chini, which was 1 hour away from Kuantan for a little tour around the place

We didn't go for the boat ride which cost RM60 for 4pax (30 mins) since it almost reached afternoon, which means the weather was going to be super hot and I could not afford to have a tanned face by tonight's dinner :P Hubby joked that I would fit with the "theme" but I think not! Lol. Anyways, we did spot a few birds like bluewinged leafbird, a possible changeable hawk eagle, hornbills and some other birds which I could not recall. Hubby thought that the trip was not complete without the boat ride, which was true. Perhaps we would have seen a lot more birds during the ride and yes, in the early morning too.

Later that night, we went for my Annual Grand Dinner for Gen 12 at Hyatt Hotel, Kuantan. The dinner started around 8.30pm and we had such a great time throughout the night! I was not able to go to every table to take everybody's pictures but we knew that we enjoyed ourselves very much and laughed as if it'd be the last time we would see each other. *sobs*

Here are some of the pictures:
